Well, hello there!

Welcome!

We're glad you're here. I decided I needed a new start and a new place to share my thoughts, our adventures, and more. Join me & my daughter, Lily, as we ramble around Texas and beyond. We're experienced road trippers at this point and are constantly planning possibilities for the future. Our focus is primarily on parks & outdoor spaces. I work in parks and spend a lot my free time recreating in these special places, as well. There is nothing like being in the woods, closing your eyes, and listening to the music of nature - the birds singing their sweet songs, the gentle rustling of leaves as the wind blows through the trees, the sound of waves lapping against land, the crackling of a campfire as the flames lick the wood. Beauty abounds in nature. Sometimes you have to look harder for it, but it is always there if you know where to look. It's important to me that Lily grows up knowing where to look, seeing beauty in nature's most mundane features, knowing that nature can be a place of restoration, somewhere to retreat for quiet or reflection, somewhere to celebrate, somewhere to block out the busyness of the world. Nature can be whatever you need it to be and it's always there waiting.
